interesting analysis and why I’m not yearning for a Bluesky invite...

I’m actually wondering why there’s so little attention paid in tech/media circles to Spoutible?🤔

I haven't read about it directly, but from what I've seen lately in my feed, it seems like the creator just bought a Russian website template for $89 and then continued to lie about it and pretend he built it himself?

And then there's https://www.doubtible.com/ which is supposedly made with that same code (haven't checked that out)

His stated costs are extremely concerning given user counts, as well: https://twitter.com/rahaeli/status/1652759415265656832

I also saw that they had a data leak but didn't report it correctly, don't see the tweet immediately about that.

I can definitely look more into it if you like!

I'm interested in seeing how Bluesky pans out. From what I've experienced of Mastodon onboarding and using within and across servers while not difficult is too hard for easy onboarding/replacing the overall feel of Twitter for many. Bluesky from what I've seen seems like it will be the easier place to go instead. I've signed up to the waitlist for Bluesky (not in the right circles to get an invite! 😞 🙃) - I'm in Europe - do you think Euorpe will have a longer wait time because of GDPR?
